Ultrasound Technologist Position Summary

Performs obstetric and gynecological diagnostic medical ultrasounds and sonograms in accordance with department standards and procedures and professional regulations. US Tech is responsible for evaluating images for technical quality. Assumes responsibility for designated areas, procedures and students as assigned. Position will work in both Seaford and Salisbury OB/GYN offices.

Ultrasound Technologist Position Requirements

  • Graduate of an Allied health Program (Radiologic technology, Nuclear Medicine or registered Nurse) or a graduate of an accredited ultrasound program and currently registered as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS).
  • Minimum 2 years of OB/GYN ultrasound and sonogram experience.
  • Must have thorough knowledge of OB/GYN ultrasound protocols.
  • Must be able to perform the following:
    • 1st Trimester scans to include nuchal translucency (NT) scans
    • Level II fetal anatomy scans
    • Fetal echo
    • Provide US guidance for basic invasive procedures to demonstrate proficiency in dimensional imaging and Doppler studies.

Ultrasound Technologist Required License and/or Certification

  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS) required.
  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS) with an OB/GYN Specialty, preferred. If not certified at time of hire, must become certified within one year of employment.
  • Certification in 1st trimester screening in Fetal Medicine Foundation (FMF) and Nuchal Translucency Quality Review (NTQR), preferred. If not certified at time of hire, must become certified within one year of employment.

Ultrasound Technologist Schedule

  • Day shift, Monday through Friday.

Ultrasound Technologist Benefits

  • At TidalHealth, team members working at least 36 hours per pay period based on 12-hour shift schedules or at least 37.5 hours for non 12-hour shift schedules and part-time team members working at least 30 hours or more on weekends only are eligible for benefits.

Salary range: $36.07 - $55.91 Commensurate with experience
