Paralegal (Public Finance required)

Our client, a nationally recognized law firm with a robust Public Finance practice, is seeking a direct hire Public Finance Paralegal to join its growing team.
This hybrid opportunity offers the ability to sit in any of the firm’s following office locations:

This role supports attorneys in all phases of municipal bond and other public finance transactions, including document preparation, due diligence, closing coordination, and post-closing compliance. The ideal candidate will have experience with bond financings, official statements, and complex, multi-party transactions within a law firm environment. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced transactional setting are essential.

Qualifications
  • Must live in local to one of the location listed above upon application
  • Must be comfortable with the hybrid schedule -- Remote 2-3 days per week [with flexibility to come in more in the beginning (3-4 times a week) and if there is a business need]
  • Bachelor’s degree or paralegal certificate preferred – relevant work experience considered
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant paralegal work experience in public finance transactions, municipal bonds, and relevant legal regulations.
  • Comfortable with being the sole paralegal of this group supporting 3 Attorneys that sit between Baltimore and Philadelphia
Responsibilities
  • Assist in drafting and reviewing legal documents.
  • Review and prepare initial drafts of bond resolutions, offering statements, and closing documents; and prepare and circulate document distributions.
  • Conduct legal research relevant to public finance and municipal securities, including state and municipal law.
  • Gather, review, and organize due diligence materials for public finance transactions.
  • Coordinate and manage transaction closings; prepare, organize and collect signature packages; assemble final closing documents; and prepare closing binders.
  • Assist with compliance with federal, state, and local regulations related to public finance.
  • Prepare state and federal tax and UCC filing documents for public finance transactions.
  • Maintain organized files and databases of transaction documents and correspondence.
  • Communicate with clients, underwriters, and other parties to gather information and provide updates on transaction progress.
