Loan Portfolio Specialist - Lakeland Office at Crews Bank & Trust – Lakeland, Florida

Crews Bank & Trust is looking for a Loan Portfolio Specialist to work with our lenders in the Lakeland market area.

Do you have a strong understanding of the lending process including the documentation associated with various types of loans? Do you have excellent interpersonal and communication skills? Are you well organized and have good administration skills?

The Loan Portfolio Specialist performs a major support function to the commercial lenders in the market area. Provides a full range of loan and banking services for primarily commercial customers. Maintains existing loans and renewals, and solves problems for customers in a professional courteous manner. Assists in completing files, clears exceptions, solves issues and finalizes closing documents. Responds to the customer in the absence of the lenders, assisting with phone calls, emails and all other customer contact points. Works with the Loan Operations and Credit Administration team in the processing, and documentation of loans. Routinely communicates with attorneys, title companies and closing agents. Maintains a strong working knowledge of current bank policies and procedures related to lending for consumer and commercial lending.

• High school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred
• Minimum Three to Five years of banking with loan experience
• Strong understanding of the lending and documentation process
• Prior experience with Jack Henry Silverlake core processing system, a plus
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Sound judgment and decision-making experience
• Well organized, dependable and can easily handle stressful situations
• Commit to gaining knowledge and skills on an ongoing basis to better serve the customer
• Desire and willingness to work in a collaborative, flexible and team-oriented work environment
• Knowledge of banking industry regulations, procedures, and workflows
