Receiving Clerk at Valley Craft Industries Inc – Lake City, Minnesota

Valley Craft Industries, Inc. has been designing, developing and manufacturing professional grade material handling and storage solutions in Minnesota since 1953. Our products are sold world-wide while our office locations are in Lake City and Bloomington, MN.

We are Looking For:
A driven individual to split work time between Shipping/Receiving (process daily shipment of materials and products) and Cabinet Assembly (facilitate the production of company products and custom orders).

What You'll Do:
Under the direct supervision of the department supervisor, you will ship and receive daily shipments and assemble and package daily orders.

What We Need From You:

· Ability to follow written and verbal direction

· Ability to keep pace with production expectations

· Ability to use Epicore and schedule trucks with minor assistance

· Ability to operate material handling equipment including a forklift (i.e. forklift, pallet jack, etc.)

· Ability to work independently or with a team

· High attention to detail

· Ability to inspect product for quality assurance and identify any errors

· Ability to record the accuracy of incoming shipments

· Ability to document any damages and discrepancies for future reimbursement and reconciliation with minor assistance

· Ability to store incoming material and supplies in correct warehouse

· Willing to work occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays

· Additional duties as needed

· 0 – 3 years of related experience preferred

· Forklift Experience required

· Knowledge of metalworking industry, equipment, and processes useful
· Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.

Physical Requirements

· Must be able to sit, stand, kneel, stoop, walk, or sit for long periods of time

· Must be capable of working in inclement conditions to include extreme hot and cold temperatures

· Must be physically capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs
