ENVIRONMENTAL & FOOD SERVICES STAFF at KidsPeace Childrens Hospital – FUQUAY-VARINA, North Carolina

The Environmental and Food Services Staff is responsible for preparing, assembling and serving meals to patients, residents, staff and visitors in a healthcare setting. This role ensures compliance with dietary requirements, food safety standards, and sanitation guidelines while delivering excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and portion food items according to standardized meal preparations and dietary restrictions.
• Assemble patient meals
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen, dining, and service areas
• Operate kitchen equipment safety
• Follow all food safety and infection control guidelines (including proper hand hygiene and PPE use)
• Stock and replenish food supplies and condiments
• Assist with dish washing and waste disposal as needed.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients and staff
• Report any dietary concerns to supervisor or clinical staff

HS Diploma or GED required OR 5 years of relatable life and/or work experience to be verified by references and/or employment verification.

Valid driver's license required.

Must possess basic personal computer knowledge and skills.

Basic knowledge of chemicals utilized in routine cleaning required. Familiarity with corresponding M.S.D.S. information required.

Must be at least 21 years of age.
