Day Shift – 8AM-4:30 PM
Compensation: $33K-$49K (Union)

Position Summary

To assist in delivering holistic patient care from late childhood through geriatric patients under the supervision of a licensed professional to promote optimal outcomes. Duties include setting up, cleaning and maintenance of equipment, tracking inventory supplies and monitoring patients and responses. In addition, it provides clerical support to the department.

Responsibilities

  • Assists therapists with patient treatment and participants in the delivery of restorative services including wound care, ambulation, transferring, and self-feeding. Assists patients with pre-treatment and post-treatment to include draping, positioning, transporting and personal care needs.
  • Assesses inventory levels of medical/therapy supplies to maintain adequate stock, including ordering and preparing treatment areas with appropriate supplies.
  • Ensure all supplies and equipment are organized, clean and disinfected in accordance with infection control standards.
  • Provides translation services for patients and therapists as needed.

Work Experience:

1–3 years of experience

Position Qualifications:

  • Comprehension of both English and Spanish with the ability to translate in a medical treatment setting
  • Proven clerical abilities, including typing and data entry
  • Understanding of medical terminology through training or experience
  • Training as a Certified Nursing Assistant ideal
  • CPR certification upon hire or within 3 months of employment.
