Mobile Service Technician
Preferred Ford of Grand Haven – Grand Haven, MI
Preferred Ford of Grand Haven is growing, and we’re looking for a Mobile Service Technician to bring dealership-quality service directly to our customers.
This role is perfect for a technician who enjoys working independently, meeting customers, and solving problems outside the traditional shop environment.
You’ll operate our Ford Mobile Service Van, performing routine maintenance and light repairs at customer homes, workplaces, and fleets throughout the Grand Haven area.

- Operate the Ford Mobile Service Van
- Travel to customer locations to perform mobile service appointments
- Perform routine maintenance and light repair services including oil changes, tire rotations, battery replacements, filters, wiper blades, and basic diagnostics
- Communicate with customers on-site about service needs
- Maintain inventory and organization in the mobile service van
- Coordinate with the dealership service team for scheduling and support
- Represent Preferred Ford with professionalism in the community
We designed this role to provide stable income with minimal commission pressure.
Base Salary: $55,000 – $58,000 per year
Production Bonus: Small monthly bonus based on completed services
This structure provides consistent income with upside, without the stress of flat-rate shop work.
- Approximately 45 hours per week
- Monday – Friday
- Occasional Saturday coverage if needed
- Automotive technician experience preferred
- Strong diagnostic and maintenance skills
- Ability to work independently and stay organized
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Strong customer service skills
- Ford experience is a plus but not required
- New and growing Ford Mobile Service Program
- Consistent pay structure
