Position Description: Job Summary
Our client is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to take ownership of full-cycle accounting and month-end close for a complex, multi-entity, multi-family real estate, construction, and HOA portfolio. This is a hands-on role within a family-owned business that values accountability and collaboration. The position manages a high volume of intercompany transactions and offers growth potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the month end close process for multiple entities
- Perform multi-entity accounting, including a high volume of intercompany transactions and reconciliations
- Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements, general ledger activity, and balance sheet reconciliations
- Oversee cash management, cash flow analysis, and forecasting
- Coordinate quarterly and annual lender reporting requirements
- Serve as primary liaison with the Corporate CPA
- Oversee 1099 preparation, review, and filing compliance
- Supervise, mentor, and develop 12 accounting team members
- Partner with ownership and property management to support financial reporting and operational decision-making
Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting
- Experience with QuickBooks (required); experience with RealPage, AppFolio, or Yardi is preferred
- 8+ years of accounting experience in construction or multi-family property management
- Experience with multi-entity accounting and intercompany transactions
