Pomeroy College of Nursing at Crouse Hospital seeks applicants to provide clinical instruction for associate degree nursing students in a mental health/psychiatric care setting. Adjunct faculty are expected to instruct students in the clinical setting; provide support and guidance; and evaluate student performance of clinical course learning outcomes. Adjunct faculty are accountable for providing timely student feedback both formative and summative throughout the entirety of the clinical experience. Clinical rotation schedules vary and may include day or evening hours.
Crouse’s Pomeroy College of Nursing is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN). The college offers a two-year associate’s degree in applied science with a major in Nursing. The College of Nursing team is hiring an Adjunct Instructor to work Per Diem.
Pay Range: $51.94 / hour
Adjunct Instructor Position Responsibilities:
- Provides instruction for students enrolled in the Crouse Hospital College of Nursing
- Evaluates students in a classroom, laboratory and/or clinical setting.
- Adjunct faculty are expected to maintain regular, pre-planned contact with the semester chairs and/or nursing laboratory manager.
Adjunct Instructor Position Requirements:
- A Bachelor's Degree in nursing is required, Master's Degree in Nursing preferred.
- Must hold current NYS licensure as a Registered Nurse and current CPR certification.
- Three years of recent clinical experience required.
- Prior experience in teaching or precepting students preferred.
