About Us

Café Spice is a growing, multi-site food manufacturer producing ready-to-eat meals for national retail and foodservice customers. We are seeking an experienced Cost Accountant to join our team at a fast-paced food manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for product costing, inventory analysis, financial reporting support, and monitoring production costs to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

Position Summary

The Cost Accountant is responsible to support our food manufacturing operations by maintaining accurate cost data, analyzing production costs, monitoring inventory, and assisting with financial reporting. This position plays a key role in ensuring accurate product costing, inventory valuation, and operational efficiency within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain standard costing for materials and finished goods

• Analyze production and inventory costs

• Prepare variance reports and financial data

• Assist with month-end close

• Review inventory and cycle counts

• Work with production, warehouse, and purchasing teams

• Support budgeting and cost control initiatives

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

• 3+ years of cost accounting experience in manufacturing

• Food manufacturing experience preferred

• Strong Excel and ERP system experience

• Knowledge of inventory and standard costing required
