About This Position
Fleet MechanicSummary: Repairs and maintains Company fleet (tractors, trailers, and vehicles) to ensure entire fleet is safe, dependable, and available.

Education and/or Experience
High School diploma or general education degree (GED). 3-5 years of Fleet Maintenance experience.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Valid Florida Driver’s License (Class A preferred), safe driving record, and no alcohol related charges on background or license. Must maintain license during entire length of employment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Reports to work on each assigned day, at the assigned time. Schedule subject to change as needed.
- Maintains, repairs, and reconditions varied equipment including automobiles, vans, lift trucks, heavy trucks, trailers, forklifts, and similar equipment.
- Overhauls transmissions, engines, clutches, universals, alternators, and starters.
- Repairs and overhauls axle assemblies, adjusts and reline brakes, tunes engines and performs general servicing such as all types of preventive maintenance.
- Documents all service and repairs on written forms and/or electronically.
- Determines the need for vehicles to be removed from service for repairs based upon inspection or driver reported problems.
- Operates standard automotive tests and shop equipment.
- Provides roadside assistance to Company vehicles.
