Shifts Available:

4 Day/10-hour day schedule.
Tuesday-Friday schedule after required training. No after hour call.

Location: Mexia, TX
*3-Month Minimum Contract Assignment with option to extend

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Dentist must be proficient in computers/electronic health records.
The Dentist is responsible for providing dental services for individuals and certain identified individuals living in community-based settings, including advanced dental care and treatment to elevate the oral hygiene of all individuals.
The Dentist is responsible to implement best and safe practices in treatment.
Provide timely, and accurate charting of clinical encounters using our electronic medical and dental records of the residents with intellectual disabilities.

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, OR REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED:

Must be licensed as a dentist by the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners.
Must have current unrestricted registration certificate from the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA).
Must possess a National Provider Identifier (NPI#)
Valid Photo ID

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

Written treatment plan with justification of irreversible dental treatments.
Must be able to work in a team environment.
Must have good communication skills, organizing, and able to present information.
Able to work with minimal supervision.
Knowledge of and experience performing dental services including use of dental equipment.
Knowledge of best practices related to oral hygiene and health care.
Knowledge of and experience diagnosing dental problems and documenting examinations and courses of treatment
