About The Role

The Maintenance role in our Engineering department is an hourly, full-time position responsible for helping ensure the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of our facilities, equipment, and systems. Working as part of a hands-on, service-oriented team, this position supports day-to-day maintenance activities, troubleshooting, and repairs across the site. The Maintenance team member will follow established procedures, prioritize work orders, and collaborate with engineering and operations staff to minimize downtime and maintain a clean, safe work environment. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and committed to high standards of safety and quality.

What You'll Do

  • Perform routine preventive maintenance on equipment, systems, and facilities according to established schedules and procedures
  • Respond to maintenance requests and work orders, diagnosing issues and completing repairs in a timely and efficient manner
  • Inspect equipment and building systems (e.g., mechanical, electrical, plumbing) to identify potential problems and recommend corrective actions
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and basic electrical issues using appropriate tools, testing equipment, and technical documentation
  • Assist with installation, modification, and relocation of equipment, machinery, and fixtures as required by the engineering and operations teams
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, parts used, and time spent on tasks
  • Follow all safety policies, lockout/tagout procedures, and regulatory requirements while performing maintenance work
  • Keep work areas, maintenance shops, and storage rooms clean, organized, and compliant with safety and housekeeping standards
  • Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, and other departments to plan and prioritize maintenance activities with minimal disruption to operations
  • Support external vendors and contractors performing maintenance or repair work on-site, ensuring adherence to company standards
  • Monitor inventory of tools, spare parts, and supplies, and report shortages or needed replenishments
  • Participate in ongoing training and skill development to stay current with equipment, systems, and best practices in maintenance

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in maintenance, facilities, or a related technical trade (industrial, commercial, or building maintenance preferred)
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and/or plumbing systems and common maintenance tools and practices
  • Ability to read and follow work orders, equipment manuals, and basic technical diagrams in English
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a hands-on, practical approach to repairs and maintenance
  • Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment in accordance with safety guidelines
  • Understanding of and commitment to workplace safety standards, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and lockout/tagout procedures
  • Physical ability to perform maintenance work, including standing, walking, bending, lifting, and working from ladders or elevated platforms as needed
  • Basic computer skills for entering and updating maintenance records or using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS), if applicable
  • Effective communication skills in English and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
  • Flexibility to work assigned shifts, including potential overtime, weekends, or on-call coverage as operational needs require
  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training in maintenance, mechanics, or a related field is a plus

The pay range for this role is:
18 - 19 USD per week(Hilton Garden Inn Billings)
