Job description

General Purpose:

The blending/mixing technician requires an understanding of blending, weighing, and equipment setups.

Position Responsibilities:

• Maintain and operate blending equipment in accordance with each batch ticket.

• Review and check the batch ticket, and raw materials, for accuracy and completeness.

• Operate pumps, blenders, mixers, filters, and related process equipment.

• Measure ingredients in correct quantity and sequence in accordance with batch formulations.

• Document all pertinent information and accurately maintain records and reports.

• Maintain safety and housekeeping in the blending area.

• Wash down and flush blending tank, mixer, and all process equipment.

• Draw samples of raw materials for the Lab and R&D.

• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required.

• Experience: Blending experience a plus

• Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Computer literate, good oral communication skills, good math skills, bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Expected hours: 40 per week
