Job Summary

The housekeeper plays a crucial role in ensuring that our clients, caregivers, and visitors experience a clean and safe environment. Their responsibilities, typically include cleaning and organizing tasks within residential facilities, are vital to our operations. The employee is expected to deliver excellent customer service to all assigned clients, further enhancing the quality of our services. This position requires approximately 4 work hours per week in Milwaukee, WI.

Essential Job Duties:

Responsible for the overall cleanliness of St. Rose living units, School, and Administration areasMaintain sanitation of agency bathroom facilities on a set schedule.Assist with monitoring supplies, including assistance with inventory/budget and purchase of new equipment and cleaning supplies. Provide supplies on request or as indicated by the unit utilization clipboards. Provide the highest quality of task completion while following the highest levels of safe working practicesPortray a positive image and engage in professional and friendly communications with all clients, staff, and guests.Clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, and other work areas as specified by Lad Lake.Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and/or draperies, using vacuum cleaners and/or other related appliances/equipment.Empty wastebaskets and dispose of trash and waste in designated areasMust operate personal computer to access e-mail, electronic calendars, and other basic office support software - Maintain no more than two (2) hours of office time per week.Exercises responsible judgment pursuant to position parametersAssumes responsibility for decisions, their consequences, and escalates any customer concerns to managementProvides excellent customer service to all clients, staff, and guests.Additional Job Duties:

As required, assist site Facilities Manager with projects or tasks.The Housekeeper is expected to effectively and efficiently perform any and all other reasonable duties as may be identified and assigned by the Facilities Manager.Be alert for safety hazards, address them as best and completely as possible and report the problem to the Supervisor.Operate any and all Lad Lake equipment appropriate to position carefully following Lad Lake’s safety guidelines and report any malfunction to the Supervisor.Assist as directed in emergency situations. If supervision is not readily available to direct response actions, make the most appropriate decisions possible to immediately attend to issues, and continue to call for direction from site management.Demonstrate consideration and respect for both clients and staff keeping in mind that all staff members are “role models” to our youth.

What you bring to the table:

Education: HS Diploma or G.E.D and be at least 21 years old and at least 2 years older than the oldest resident/student.Experience: One or more years of professional janitorial/housekeeping experience or related experience required. Prior experience working with a children or adolescents in a residential setting strongly preferred.Skills: Ability to read and converse proficiently in English. Excellent customer service and organizational skills. Proficient in MS Office products.Physical Environment: Ability to lift /move 50 pounds, walk, sit, stand, reach, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.Must be able to complete on-the-job training as specified in WI Administrative Code 52.12(2)(e).
