About the Opportunity

Big Sky Specialty Compounding is looking for a dedicated, detail-loving, safety-driven Staff Pharmacist for our non-sterile compounding operations in Kalispell, Montana.

What You’ll Do

As a Staff Pharmacist, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping a top-tier compounding operation. You will:

  • Oversee technicians and participate in preparing high-quality non-sterile compounded medications
  • Follow USP <795> and USP <800> standards with a strong focus on safety and compliance
  • Support QA programs, training, documentation, audits, and equipment upkeep
  • Maintain strong safety protocols, including proper PPE use and hazardous drug handling
  • Review prescriptions for accuracy and clinical appropriateness
  • Support the team to keep workflows running smoothly and continuously improve how we operate
  • Partner with clinicians, providers, and patients to deliver safe, effective therapies, always keeping patient needs front and center
  • Troubleshoot challenges, think creatively, and find practical solutions
  • Bring a positive, adaptable, can-do approach to daily work

What You Bring

  • PharmD or Bachelor of Pharmacy from an accredited institution
  • Active (or eligible) Montana pharmacist license
  • Experience in non-sterile compounding, including hazardous drug handling
  • Strong working knowledge of USP <795> and <800>
  • Excellent communication, organization and customer service skills
  • A self-driven mindset, Montana-style work ethic, and a positive, collaborative approach
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Bonus Skills

  • Experience in compounding or specialty pharmacy settings
  • Familiarity with PK compounding software and QA systems
