We are seeking an experienced General Counsel to serve as the organization’s legal advisor. This is an opportunity to make a tangible impact at the intersection of healthcare, law, and business—ensuring strategic counsel across compliance, regulatory matters, contracts, employment, transactions, and organizational policy, ensuring alignment with California state law and federal oversight via HRSA.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise CEO and Board members on legal and regulatory matters and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal requirements.
• Represent the organization before courts, boards, and public agencies as a licensed California attorney.
• Draft and negotiate contracts, legal documents, and complex agreements.
• Monitor legal developments and conduct research to guide organizational strategy.
• Support real estate transactions, leases, acquisitions, and vendor agreements.
• Lead development and review of policies, procedures, and compliance trainings; oversee outside counsel.
• Partner with internal teams to review communications and patient-facing materials.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD).
• Minimum 8 years related experience, including at least 3 years of California healthcare experience.
• Experience with FQHCs or Non-Profit Healthcare experience preferred.
• Active California Bar license

The pay range for this role is $179,817 - $287,708 per year.
