About This Position

Primary Purpose: To support the work of the market intelligence department and Leader’s Edge, including project management, survey outreach and data organization, research and writing.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the market intelligence team with survey project management including managing timelines, cross-department workflows, survey marketing and outreach, and final product execution
  • Assist with ad hoc data collection, research, and writing projects
  • Assist with Leader’s Edge content writing, including industry updates and short articles, and other ongoing tasks as needed
  • Contribute strategically to content and strategy meetings as appropriate
    • Work to gain and apply a current and in-depth awareness of the insurance and brokerage industries to include historical information, current events, emerging issues and trends, and the impact on the Council and its membership.
    • Contribute to cross-department Council projects and represent The Council at internal and external events as needed

Qualifications

Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in business, data analysis, project management or related field or equivalent certification or experience

Required Skills: Proficiency in Excel and other MS Office tools. Ability to learn relevant survey, project management, and website software and tools. Project management, data management, critical thinking, client service, research, and writing skills.

Preferred Skills/Knowledge: Some knowledge of data visualization tools and techniques, data analysis skills; insurance industry knowledge

Physical Demands: Visual ability to read, edit and review written materials, design and graphics. Hearing and verbal ability to fully participate and interact in meetings, forums and over the telephone. Manual dexterity for writing and/or typing to produce copy and other written materials.

Travel: Some travel required to attend meetings and conferences, and to cover specific Council events.

Other: Overtime is required in order to meet scheduled deadlines.
