The Power Consultant is a high-performance, field-based sales role focused on running in-home consultations, closing deals, and owning territory results through disciplined follow-up and relentless execution. This role is designed for competitive, driven sales professionals who thrive on performance-based compensation, consistently push through rejection, and take full ownership of their pipeline from first appointment to signed agreement.
What You Will Do- Run high-trust in-home consultations and guide homeowners through generator solutions from evaluation to signed agreement
- Own your pipeline with disciplined same-day recaps, structured follow-up, and consistent deal execution
- Maintain accurate CRM updates and deliver clean, detailed estimates that support smooth project execution
- Power Consultants are expected to proactively generate approximately 25% of their own leads through referrals, networking, and local prospecting to maximize territory performance. Our dedicated inside sales team will provide a steady flow of qualified in-home appointments, allowing Power Consultants to focus on closing deals.
A fully ramped Power Consultant will demonstrate:
- Strong Close Rates - Consistently converts qualified opportunities into signed projects and delivers reliable sales performance.
- High-Margin Sales - Effectively positions and sells the premier brand, ensuring customers understand the value and supporting strong project margins.
- Consistent Same-Day Recap and Follow-Up Cadence - Maintains disciplined communication with customers through timely recaps, follow-ups, and next-step clarity.
- Comprehensive and Accurate Estimates – Produces detailed and accurate estimates that meet Operations’ criteria for smooth project initiation and execution.
- Meaningful Self-Generated Pipeline – Maintains a steady pipeline of self-generated leads, referrals from past customers, and partner-driven opportunities to support sustained production.
Strong candidates often come from:
- In-home residential sales roles that require complex decision-making (e.g., custom pools, blinds, roofing, solar products, or other high-ticket home improvement solutions)
- Athletic backgrounds, where individuals have developed discipline, competitiveness, resilience, and a results-driven mindset
Successful candidates typically demonstrate:
- Relentless Sales Drive – Pushes through rejection, maintains persistence, and consistently works to close deals and exceed targets. Demonstrates a willingness to travel to other markets during non-peak seasons to support demand and maximize sales opportunities.
- Discipline – Follows the sales process and maintains structured daily routines. Executes PSP systems and workflows consistently and operates with strong personal accountability. Comes from organizations where metrics were critical and can clearly articulate performance metrics off the top of their head.
- Humble – Collaborates well with others, accepts coaching and feedback, supports team success, and operates with low ego and high accountability.
Additional requirements:
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to travel throughout the assigned market regularly
- Ability to pass background, driving record, and drug screening
- Comfort using CRM and mobile tools to manage appointments and follow up
