Maintenance Technician - 1st Shift

Maintenance Technician duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Perform basic maintenance work. Replacing parts as directed under direct supervision.
  • Replace and repair parts, rebuild equipment and align gears, shafts, pulleys and belts under supervision.
  • Utilize illustrated parts breakdown manuals and operational manuals in the repair, modification and maintenance of equipment.
  • Help perform inventory control of parts and equipment used from inventory.
  • Respond to all assigned maintenance work orders in a timely manner.
  • Assist in preventive maintenance (PM) activities in accordance with the preventive maintenance plan under direct supervision of PM Technician.
  • Perform housekeeping duties required of maintenance staff including work area clean-up, machine and equipment clean-up, sweeping production floor after clean-up and various other general housekeeping duties as assigned.
  • Participate in a maintenance training programs to continuously improve knowledge, skills and abilities. Work towards developing skills in electrical or mechanical fields.
  • Maintain compliance with changing OSHA regulations.
  • Learn and follow all safety regulations and job instructions to perform primary job duties.
  • Operate Maintenance Truck for picking up parts and materials.
Requirements:

Education and experience:

· High school diploma or general education certification preferred.

· Ability to speak and communicate effectively utilizing the English language preferred.

· Mechanical or electrical experience. (Desired)

· 1 year of related experience.

· Basic knowledge of equipment preventive maintenance. (Desired)

· Valid Driver’s License

· Knowledgeable of OSHA regulations.

· Computer literate.
