Frames Merchandising Assistant at Mann Eye – Katy, Texas

Job Summary:

The Merchandising Assistant will assist with all components of merchandising functions for Mann Eye Optical, including everything related to the set-up, distribution, sales, analysis and inventory management for frames. The Merchandising Assistant will also work with all Mann Eye locations for frame Issues and with frame vendors as needed.

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Review Daily and Weekly frames sold reports and place replenishment orders with frame vendors by location as needed
2. Check in orders and process invoices for payment with accounting department, coding invoices by location
3. Receive orders by location into POS (Point-of-Sale system) Flexys including new frame set-up, current frame replenishment, entering costs, retail pricing, etc.
4. Coordinate new frame launches by brand, by location including costs and retail pricing in Flexys, including sorting and organizing large, multiple box frame shipments from frame vendors
5. Manage frame transfers, mark-downs, recalls and RTV (returns to vendors)
6. Run reports for frame inventory and frames sold as needed
7. Assist Director and Manager with any special requests for merchandising initiatives
8. Conduct store visits to assist in merchandising initiatives – resets, new product intros, reconciliation
9. Work with locations on frame visual merchandising initiatives
10. Help with physical inventory counts for frames in locations
11. Other duties as assigned

Essential Skills and Abilities:

1. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
2. Strong organizational, project planning and time management skills.
3. Excellent interpersonal and oral/written communication skills
4. Ability to interact with locations, vendors, co-workers and management in a team oriented environment
5. Willingness to learn new Software Programs

Education and Experience:

1. High school diploma or equivalent

2. Previous experience with optical products and/or retail merchandising preferred
