About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Software Sales Representative to join our software development team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the construction industry and the ability to articulate the value of our project controls software to potential clients.
General responsibilities include:
- Identify and pursue new sales opportunities within the construction industry
- Develop and maintain relationships with key decision-makers in target companies
- Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to showcase our software's capabilities
- Collaborate with the technical team to understand client needs and propose tailored solutions
- Negotiate contracts and close deals to meet or exceed sales targets
- Stay updated on industry trends and competitor offerings
- Provide regular reports on sales activities and pipeline
- Attend industry events and trade shows to represent the company and generate leads
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in software sales, preferably in the construction or project management sector
- Strong understanding of construction project management and project controls
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Ability to understand and explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Experience with CRM software and sales methodologies
- Willingness to travel as needed
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of project scheduling, cost control, and project management principles
- Familiarity with construction industry software such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar tools
- Experience selling SaaS (Software as a Service) solutions

The pay range for this role is:
75,000 - 90,000 USD per year(Silver Spring, MD)
