Laundry Worker at Citizens Memorial – Buffalo, Missouri

Citizens Memorial Healthcare Foundation (CMH) is recruiting a Laundry Worker to care for our residents at Colonial Springs Healthcare Center. CMH is made up of 34 primary and specialty clinics, 6 Long-Term Care facilities and 1 residential care facility. Offering acute care, emergency services, ambulatory care, pharmacies, walk-in clinics, surgeries, addiction recovery, therapies and more, CMH has its community covered!

About the area: Colonial Springs Healthcare Center is located in beautiful Buffalo, Missouri. Buffalo has multiple outdoor experiences such as hiking, camping, fishing, and canoeing. Buffalo is a great community that offers small town charm and friendly reasonably priced neighborhoods with an excellent school system and Dallas County Technical Institute available for students pursuing vocational jobs.

About the facility: Colonial Springs Healthcare Center is a 134-bed long-term care, skilled nursing center. It includes a 34-bed memory care unit, as well as a 16-bed high-functioning memory care unit. These units meet the specific needs of individuals with Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia.

A typical day includes: Morning: Fill the dryers of what the night shift left. Make rounds to each soiled utility room. Sort the laundry and place in washer. Pass the first round of laundry to each resident room. Evenings: Make rounds to each resident room and pass out personal clothing to each resident room. Folding throughout the day.

• Folding all linens and clothing items
• Operating and emptying dryer lint traps after each load
• Stocking all areas and carts with linens
• Delivering clean linens appropriately

Job Requirements:

• Education: NA
• Experience: Will Train
• Skills: NA
• Licensure/Certification: Family and Friends CPR within 6 months of employment
• Physical: Ability to stand for 90% of the day and sit for the remaining 10%
