Apprentice Electrician – Virginia Beach, VA at Knight Electric, Inc. – Norfolk, Virginia

We are currently seeking local Electricians to work on commercial electrical construction projects in Virginia Beach, VA.
This is a temporary position for a local project expected to last 4-9 months. Pay ranges from $25.00 to $35.00 per hour depending on experience and state electrical license.

Responsibilities:

• Apply advanced knowledge of electrical theory and NEC code
• Perform NEC calculations
• Execute all types of conduit bends using various bender types
• Install raceways, boxes, cables, panels, breakers, and transformers
• Assist with wire pulling and switchboard installation
• Install light fixtures, devices, and cover plates
• Connect branch circuits including terminations and equipment
• Perform basic testing and troubleshooting of electrical systems
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics
• Maintain basic knowledge of control systems and components
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• 4,000+ hours of electrician experience
• Current state Electrical Apprentice license (per state requirements)
• OSHA 10 certification
• Ability to pass a criminal background check
