Receiving Technician at Safewaze – Concord, North Carolina

SAFEWAZE – RECEIVING TECHNICIAN

We are seeking a Receiving Technician that is responsible for accurately receiving, inspecting, and documenting incoming materials, equipment and supplies. This role ensures that all deliveries meet quality standards, match purchase orders, and are properly recorded and stored. The Receiving Technician plays a critical role in maintaining inventory accuracy and ensuring compliance with company policies and safety regulations. Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to follow established procedures are essential for success in this role.

WHAT THE ROLE DOES:

• Load and unload trucks and containers via Forklift and manually.
• Check in items against the packing list.
• Enter data/inventory into computer software, and release customer orders as needed.
• Keep product rotated based on date.
• Daily cycle counts.
• Keep the Production area neat and clean – includes daily cardboard and trash disposal.
• Back up Material Handlers as needed.
• Drive to offsite storage locations as needed.

THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS:

• HS diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of proven experience operating a stand-up forklift – will be tested to confirm.
• 2+ years of proven experience in a Warehouse, Shipping and/or Receiving environment.
• Basic knowledge of FIFO and product rotation practices.
• Ability to read and interpret packing lists, BOL, and shipping documents.
• Intermediate computer skills – will be tested to confirm.
• Valid driver's license with no open traffic violations – will pull MVR during onboarding.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and proper PPE usage.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions clearly.
• Strong attention to detail with minimal errors.
• Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. without assistance consistently and safely.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach during work hours.
• Comfortable walking indoors/outdoors in non-climate-controlled environments.
• Able to work 7 am to 3:30 pm Monday-Friday, maintaining 95% attendance rate.
