Overview
Montech Inc. is actively seeking an administrative professional to provide Processing Clerk (Adjudication/Transcription) services as a full-time on-site personnel member supporting the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) in Idaho Falls, ID.
Place of Performance/Hours of Operation
Services will be provided in an office setting at the U.S. Department of Energy Idaho Operations Office (DOE-ID) located in Idaho Falls, Idaho, generally between the hours of 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM Monday through Friday (except Federal holidays).
Summary of Responsibilities
The Processing Clerk (Adjudication/Transcription) shall perform the following responsibilities:
- Review and analyze investigative reports for processing, adjudication, and badging.
- Handle clearance investigation processes for clearances, reinvestigations, reciprocals, reinstatements, and re-approvals.
- Prepare related correspondence and provide necessary case status and progress reports.
- Schedule meetings with variety of security levels, which can include teleconferencing participation.
- Coordinate paperwork to initiate investigations and PIV processing.
- Operate and maintain personnel security files, both paper and electronic.
- Perform document management.
- Prepare correspondence, including forms, letters, and memorandums for personnel security activities.
- Update and maintain security and emergency management procedural binder materials.
- Proofread and certify correct content in a manner sufficient to meet legal review.
- Prepare verbatim transcriptions from personnel security interviews.
- Review of HSPD-12 paperwork for accuracy; submit for investigations, denials, and appeals.
- Submit fingerprints and investigations.
- Review and write summaries for security incidents.
- Process badging requests for federal employees and contractor employees.
Qualifications
Candidate shall possess a minimum of an Associate’s degree (Bachelor’s preferred) and have a minimum of five (5) years’ of experience relevant to the scope of work and required responsibilities.
Security
Employment is contingent upon the ability to pass the pre-employment drug test and a federal security investigation (background check) in order to obtain a U.S. Department of Energy “Q” security clearance prior to start. The background investigation reviews employment, criminal, financial, and personal history to ensure there are no outstanding violations. Applicants must be a U.S. Citizen to work in support of a federal agency.
Any notification from Government to Montech Inc. that the employee has compromised the security requirements will warrant immediate termination from employment on the contract.
