Description:
Position Summary
The Provider Relations Specialist serves as a key liaison between the organization and its provider network. This role supports compliance oversight, assists providers with credentialing processes, maintains accurate records, and contributes to audit preparation and reporting. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and committed to supporting regulatory compliance and strong provider relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a primary point of contact for providers regarding compliance and credentialing matters
- Assist providers with uploading and maintaining required documentation in the credentialing portal
- Monitor and oversee general provider compliance requirements
- Maintain and organize physical records and documentation in accordance with company and regulatory standards
- Support preparation for internal and external audits
- Compile and assist in generating compliance-related reports
- Communicate proactively with providers to ensure timely submission of required materials
- Collaborate with internal departments to resolve credentialing and compliance issues
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred
- 1–3 years of experience in healthcare administration, provider relations, compliance, or credentialing preferred
- Familiarity with healthcare compliance and credentialing processes is a plus
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and web-based portal systems
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
