About This Position

Position Description: JOB SUMMARY

The billing clerk position is accountable for processing invoices and issuing them to customers by all necessary means and updating customer files.

DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Processing bills.

Maintain billing at 45 bills per hour and less than 1.5% error ratio.

Confirm entered data from the customers bill of lading / shipping order into SalSons bill system.

Communicate with employees at other facilities via the telephone to gain clarity on bills that may be unclear.

Organize and categorize Billing documents.

Timely respond to customer and employee inquiries.

Completes assignments on a timely basis.

Perform other administrative duties as assigned by Supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS

Excellent data entry skills including alpha-numeric and 10-key.

Knowledge of Intermodal Drayage Imports/Exports & Truck loads a plus.

Proficient in business math and analytical skills.

Intermediate Excel skills; generating formulas, etc.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in order to effectively communicate with employees at other locations.

Strong organizational skills.

Excellent customer service skills.

Attention to detail.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work is primarily sedentary in nature; no special demands are required.
