About This Position
Scope of Position:
The Director of Revenue Cycle Management provides strategic, operational, and administrative leadership for revenue cycle operations supporting UConn Community Health Network and affiliated clinical practices. The role ensures the integrity, efficiency, and financial sustainability of revenue cycle functions while advancing UConn Health’s mission of clinical excellence, education, research, and community support.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership and oversight of professional billing, coding, charge capture, accounts receivable, and collections operations.
- Align revenue cycle strategies with academic medical center principles, population health goals, and community-based care delivery.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and payer regulations including Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial plans.
- Oversee revenue cycle systems, reporting, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with clinical, compliance, finance, IT, and executive leadership teams.
- Lead, mentor, and develop revenue cycle staff and management teams
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive healthcare revenue cycle experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience.
- Strong knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS, and E/M coding and payer regulations.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
