Position Description:

Girl Scouts Louisiana East is looking for a Membership Recruiting Specialist to help grow Girl Scouting across assigned regions by recruiting new girl and adult members, supporting retention efforts, and strengthening the Girl Scouts brand in schools, communities, and partner organizations.

What Youll Do (overview)

Recruit new girl and adult members and support retention efforts to help meet Council membership goals by gaining new members
Build partnerships with schools, community organizations, faith-based groups, and other local stakeholders
Develop prospect pipelines through outreach, networking, and relationship-building
Coordinate recruitment events, schedules, and logistics
Prepare and distribute marketing materials to promote activities and events
Deliver engaging presentations and facilitate recruitment activities
Identify and cultivate potential troop leaders and other volunteers
Track and report event outcomes accurately and use results to strengthen future recruitment plans
Maintain accurate lead tracking and follow-up in the Councils CRM system
Communicate with current members to encourage continued participation and membership renewal
Support onboarding and training for new volunteers, including attendance tracking and follow-up
Mentor adult volunteers to support strong Girl Scout programming and services for girls
Help identify Council delegates for annual meetings and assist with meeting duties such as registration and training
Strengthen service unit teams by identifying and supporting volunteers with strong community connections
Assist with Council-wide programs, community events, and fund development efforts as assigned
Work both remotely and on-site as needed and participate in cross-training
Provide regular updates to the supervisor on progress, priorities, and challenges

What Were Looking For

Associates degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field required; bachelors degree preferred
At least 3 years of experience in sales, lead generation, recruitment, marketing, or a related field, and at least 3 years of customer service or related experience
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Ability to analyze data and adjust strategies based on results
Experience using Microsoft Office and CRM systems such as Salesforce
Ability to work independently, stay organized, and adapt to changing priorities
Professionalism, reliability, and strong follow-through
Experience in nonprofit, youth, community-service, volunteer-driven, or Girl Scout environments is a plus
Bilingual in Spanish is a plus

Other Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old
Must be able to pass a background check
Valid drivers license and proof of vehicle insurance required
Must be able to travel throughout the Councils jurisdiction
Must be able to work overtime as needed
GSUSA membership required (upon hire)

Additional Information: Successful candidates must pass a criminal background check as part of the pre-employment hiring process.
