Job Summary

Under general supervision of the Insurance Authorization Supervisor, performs clerical and general office work of moderately difficulty, assisting patients and guarantors with insurance questions, and works hospital and office procedures pre-certification. Performs duties of obtaining authorizations, referrals, account payment questions and collections for services.

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent

Experience:

• Required
  • One or more years of Clerical/General Office experience
• Preferred
  • One or more years of Medical Billing/Insurance Authorization experience
  • Knowledge of Medical Terminology
  • One or more years of experience in Cash Handling
