About This Position
Position Description: Blue Frontier, Inc. is seeking an experienced and strategic Head of or VP of Human Resources to lead and scale our HR function as the company transitions from startup to enterprise. This leader will build and execute HR strategies that support long-term organizational development, operational excellence, and a strong, mission-driven culture.
This position will report to the EVP of Finance & Operations and will be considered a leader in the company.
Responsibilities
Own the workforce strategies that support long-term company growth, talent acquisition, talent retention, and scalable organizational design
Lead all aspects of recruitment, hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management
Establish, implement, and maintain legally compliant HR policies, procedures, and best practices
Shape and strengthen workplace culture, values, and rituals by driving employee engagement, satisfaction, and a high-performance environment
Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership and employees by providing guidance on policy interpretation, compliance, employee relations, and conflict resolution
Oversee accurate maintenance of HR records, reporting, and workforce data analytics
Design and administer competitive compensation and employee benefit programs
Own the relationship with our PEO, working in partnership with them on relevant areas of the above responsibilities
Grow Blue Frontiers HR team to create a high-performing Human Resources function that is capable of transitioning to fully in-house HR at the appropriate scale within the next 2-3 years
Skills & Experience
Progressive Human Resources experience, including leadership responsibility
Demonstrated success leading HR operations in a fast-paced, high-growth environment (venture-funded startups preferred), including scaling small businesses from 50 to 500+ headcount
Strong business acumen and the ability to align people strategy with organizational objectives
Excellent judgment, discretion, and professionalism in handling sensitive matters
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Hands-on, solutions-oriented leadership style with a no task too small mindset
Ability to prioritize effectively and adapt to shifting business needs Experience with HRIS and ATS systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other related tools
Qualifications
A relevant degree in Business, HR Management, Organizational Development, or equivalent experience combined with preference for certifications such as SHRM-SCP, SPHR or similar
