JOB SUMMARY

The Flooring Estimators’ primary responsibility would be to gather, assess and estimate the cost of flooring projects. This position works closely with other departments to ensure key outcomes and timelines. This is not a remote role.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Preparing proposals, along with communicating to our vendors for pricing.
  • Create templates for jobs.
  • Perform take-offs and prepare proposals using estimating software and Microsoft excel.
  • Receive requests for estimating and gathering necessary information such as plans, specifications, bid manuals, change orders and revisions to projects in progress.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
  • Follow company safety policies and procedures.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
  • Regular and reliable attendance.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company guidelines, policies and procedures, and applicable laws. Supervisory responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

  • High School diploma, or 3+ years equivalent work experience.
  • Legal work authorization requirements.
  • Proficient Excel experience a must.

  • Self-Motivated and ability to multitask, work with limited supervision and meet deadlines.
