After School Teacher - Part Time at GPS Solutions LLC – Detroit, Michigan

Position: Part-Time After-School Teacher – in person

Locations:

• Hamadeh Educational Services Schools - Extended Day Program
  • Monday & Tuesday - Star International Dearborn Heights Location
  • Wednesday & Thursday - Universal Academy Detroit Location

Start Date: ASAP

End Date: May 2026

Hours: Monday - Thursday, 3:15 PM - 5:00 PM

Hourly Rate: $40/hour

Position Overview:

As a Part-Time After-School Teacher, you will provide enriching activities and academic support to students in a structured, safe, and fun environment. Your role will involve assisting with homework, leading educational activities, and creating a positive after-school experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and engage students in various activities.
• Provide homework assistance and academic support.
• Plan and implement educational and recreational activities.
• Ensure a safe and supportive environment for all students.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff.

Qualifications:

Education Requirement (one of the following):

• A minimum of 60 credit hours from an accredited university or college, or
• College Board’s SAT – Must score at least a 480 on evidence-based reading and writing, and a 530 on math, or
• ETS Parapro Assessment – A passing score of 460 is required

Preferred:

• Bachelor’s of Science or Arts in Education
• Valid Michigan teaching certificate and applicable endorsement(s) as required by the Michigan Department of Education
• Meet highly qualified teacher requirements
