PRN Caregiver – Daytime Flex Coverage – $14/hr (PRN Rate) at FirstLight Home Care of Dothan – Dothan, Alabama

At FirstLight Home Care of Dothan, our caregivers do more than assist — they care with purpose. For over 14 years, we have provided compassionate, dependable home care that allows seniors and adults to remain safe and supported in their homes.

We are currently seeking experienced PRN (as-needed) caregivers to provide flexible daytime coverage throughout the Wiregrass area. This is not a full-time position. This role is designed for dependable, experienced caregivers who want flexible additional hours while maintaining consistent availability.

About This PRN Role:
$14 per hour
Minimum commitment of 3–4 shifts per month
Daytime availability required (between 7am–7pm)
Shifts may be offered any day of the week based on client needs
Must be willing to travel throughout the Wiregrass area
Mileage reimbursement provided
Some shifts may be up to 12 hours
This is not an on-call position. PRN caregivers provide coverage based on mutually agreed daytime availability and are expected to respond promptly when shifts are offered.

Client Needs:
PRN caregivers must be comfortable providing hands-on care to clients who may:
Have dementia
Have mobility limitations
Be bed-bound
Require consistent personal care support
Strong caregiving experience is required.

What You’ll Do:
Provide compassionate, hands-on care in client homes
Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
Safely support bed-bound clients
Assist with meals and mobility
Provide medication reminders
Communicate professionally with families and office staff

Requirements:
At least 1 year of caregiving experience (required)
Experience with dementia and high-acuity clients preferred
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Willingness to travel within the Wiregrass region
Ability to pass background check and drug screen
Dependable, responsive, and professional demeanor

Work Location: In person (client homes)
