Your Role
As Maintenance Lead, you’ll oversee facility operations including routine maintenance, repairs, preventative programs, and safety compliance. You’ll work closely with the General Manager and department leaders to ensure operational readiness and uphold hotel quality standards. This role is ideal for someone who leads with Integrity, brings Grit to every task, and works Stronger Together with the team to maintain a safe and welcoming environment.
What You’ll Do
- Develop, implement, and maintain a preventative maintenance schedule for all building systems and equipment
- Complete and document all work orders in a timely, accurate, and organized manner
- Conduct daily property walkthroughs to monitor the condition of all spaces and respond to any urgent issues
- Troubleshoot and repair various mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical systems
- Maintain working knowledge of all mechanical equipment (e.g., chillers, boilers, water softeners, refrigeration units, etc.)
- Ensure proper care and operation of shuttle vehicles and back of house equipment
- Interpret blueprints, building codes, and safety regulations; ensure compliance with all applicable laws
- Oversee and support sourcing, hiring, training, and development of maintenance team members
- Provide coaching, task assignments, and performance feedback to the maintenance staff
- Collaborate with other departments to support operational efficiency and guest satisfaction
- Monitor inventory and ensure availability of tools, parts, and supplies
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized maintenance area
- Other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Strong working knowledge of building systems, facilities maintenance, and repair procedures
- Familiarity with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical equipment and troubleshooting
- Understanding of building code requirements and safety standards
- Ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams
- Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and under pressure
- Basic computer skills for documentation and communication
- Must be able to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds, climbing, bending, and standing for extended periods
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or GED required
- 1-2 years of maintenance or facility operations experience in a hotel or related field
- Previous supervisory or lead experience preferred
