Summary:

The Production Control Support employee is responsible for keeping the jobs entered in a timely manner so the production equipment can stay running. They are responsible for preparing the daily backlog, updating the Open Order report, updating KPI data, preparing the job jacket for production, correcting the data collection time sheets and updating hot & warm jobs on the open order Smartsheet and schedule. They are also responsible for monthly accounting reporting and any other reporting data requested by the Production Control Manager or other management. They must perform other tasks assigned.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Generate white master sample card for all new parts or repeat parts with change
  • Break down jobs and prepare them for scanning
  • Scan job information prior to trashing
  • File plates, white cards and green quality checklists in their appropriate locations
  • Investigate and correct data collection time sheets in Label Traxx including roll inventory and Auto Traxx totalizer
  • Check job costs including issuing cores & boxes on Label Traxx job tickets
  • Prepare job jacket for production to include ticket, green quality checklist, plates, proof, samples & sample card
  • Cost production jobs to get accurate cost to receive into Epicor (issue BOMs, check time sheets, verify material used, etc.)
  • Update job information on Open Order Smartsheet to keep all interested parties informed
  • Utilize production software entries to provide information to improve production efficiency
  • Pulling and filing plates.
  • Be available to work in other areas when necessary
  • Assist Production Control Management & Production Management on special projects
  • Support the production floor
  • Treat employees with respect and professionalism to assist in Dot It’s goal to satisfy customers and grow the business
  • Miscellaneous: Any other activity requested by management
  • Support packaging and shipping departments when necessary or available
  • Assist the Floor Leads on any task
  • Assist in month end activity

Qualifications/Skills/Abilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Familiarity with production software systems and familiarity of product line is a plus.

Must have:

Basic computer skills and knowledge a plus.

Ability to communicate and interact with all levels of employees within the organization.

Success Attributes:

· Minimum of 2 years office/clerical experience, in a fast-paced environment

· Must have high school diploma

· Proficient in Word, Excel, email and internet use

· Label Trax experience a plus

· An exceptional sense of organization
