Din Source, a subsidiary of Din Development Corporation (DDC), is seeking a Training & Strategic Communications Specialist to support the Department of the Air Force (DAF) Category Management Team. This role combines training development, strategic communications, and multimedia production to support Category Managem=ent initiatives across the Air Force acquisition community. The ideal candidate will help design and maintain training programs while also developing communications products, outreach campaigns, and multimedia content that promote Category Management strategies and tools across the organization. This position is primarily onsite at the Pentagon or within the National Capital Region (DMV area).
ResponsibilitiesTraining Development & Program Support
  • Support the development, execution, and sustainment of Category Management training programs, including:
    • Developing training curricula, lesson plans, and learning objectives
    • Creating and maintaining online and instructor-led training materials
    • Supporting Defense Acquisition University (DAU) online training courses
    • Maintaining training resources, course catalogs, and materials in SharePoint
    • Developing facilitated training materials, instructor guides, and training trackers
    • Updating training content to reflect evolving Category Management policies, tools, and processes
  • The training portfolio includes multiple online and instructor-led courses, as well as training supporting Contract Data Literacy, Spend Analysis, and Business Intelligence initiatives.
Strategic Communications & Outreach
  • Support communications efforts that promote Category Management initiatives and adoption across the Department of the Air Force, including:
    • Developing communications and outreach plans
    • Creating presentations, reports, and briefing materials
    • Supporting stakeholder communications and awareness campaigns
    • Translating complex acquisition concepts into clear and engaging communications products
Social Media & Digital Engagement
  • Support the digital communications presence of the DAF Category Management Team by:
    • Developing and managing social media and digital content
    • Drafting posts highlighting program initiatives, updates, and successes
    • Supporting internal communications and messaging across digital platforms
Multimedia & Video Production
  • Develop multimedia communications products to support training and outreach initiatives, including:
    • Producing training and educational videos
    • Writing video scripts and storyboards
    • Supporting video development and editing
    • Maintaining existing multimedia training products
Training Facilitation Support
  • Assist with the delivery and facilitation of Category Management training sessions. Sessions may range from small workshops to large forums with hundreds of participants.
Process Improvement Support
  • Assist with updates and configuration management of Category Management processes, tools, templates, and training materials, ensuring training content reflects current program guidance and best practices.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
QualificationsRequired Experience
  • 5+ years of Change Management experience in a Department of Defense environment, preferably supporting the U.S. Air Force
  • Experience developing training plans, curricula, and learning strategies
  • Experience supporting strategic communications or outreach initiatives
  • Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments
  • Experience supporting complex business analysis or program support efforts
Required Skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to synthesize information from multiple sources into clear communications products
  • Experience developing presentations, reports, and briefing materials
  • Experience with multimedia content development (video, scripts, training materials)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
Security Clearance
  • Active Secret clearance required.
Citizenship Requirement
  • This position supports a U.S. Government contract whose terms require Din Development Corporation (DDC) and its subsidiaries to staff this role only with U.S. Citizens.
