We are seeking a dedicated, knowledgeable, and collaborative Assistant Football Manager to support the Head Coach and coaching staff in leading AFC Richmond. The ideal candidate will bring strong tactical awareness, excellent player management skills, and a passion for building both winning football and winning culture.

Youll work closely with Coach Lasso and Coach Beard to develop training plans, analyze match performance, and support the overall strategic direction of the team. A good sense of humor is appreciated. Biscuits optional (but encouraged).

• Support the Head Coach in planning and executing all training sessions.
• Analyze opponents and develop tactical recommendations for upcoming fixtures.
• Provide individualized feedback to players to support development and performance.
• Assist with matchday preparations, including lineup planning and in-game adjustments.
• Collaborate with medical, analytics, and scouting staff to ensure holistic player support.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, high-performance culture within the squad.
• Participate in press duties, community events, and club outreach as needed.
• Help maintain the clubs strong ethos rooted in integrity, teamwork, and belief.

• Previous experience in football coaching or football management at the professional or semi-professional level.
• UEFA B License or higher (UEFA A License preferred).
• Strong tactical understanding of modern football formations and styles of play.
• Proven ability to build relationships with players, staff, and stakeholders.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and analytical skills.
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced, and occasionally chaotic environment.
• A positive, curious, and open-minded approach to coaching and problem-solving.

• Experience working with multicultural teams.
• Familiarity with data analytics and performance tracking systems.
• A willingness to embrace unconventional approaches to leadership.
• Comfort working with an optimistic American head coach who may or may not understand offside.
