Application Administrator
Position Summary
Jakes Divinity School seeks an Application Administrator. This role will be responsible for the smooth operation and optimization of our organization's software applications. This will include installing, configuring, maintaining, and supporting various applications critical to our business processes. In addition, the Application Administrator will be essential in troubleshooting issues, implementing updates, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance overall system performance. This position reports to the Director of Technology & Education Systems.
Essential Job Duties
· Develop, maintain, and provide support for assigned systems and applications
· Assist in implementing technology initiatives, supporting the execution of projects, and ensuring adherence to established timelines. Test and evaluate new software and applications.
· Maintain effective operation of assigned applications and systems. Monitor their performance and make adjustments when necessary to improve performance.
· Provide ongoing operation support to internal staff to maintain the efficiency of technology systems, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to the overall functionality of the technology department.
· Maintain system documentation and document and analyze problems.
· Set up and maintain user accounts
· Assist the Director in coordinating with other internal departments to ensure that all applications are used according to their intended purpose.
· Create reports and queries
· Provide advice and training to end-users.
· Process automation
· Participates in configuration or alteration of applications with appropriate external partners and cross-functional internal teams.
· Other duties as assigned and required
Job Qualifications & Skills
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or four additional years related work experience in lieu of bachelors)
· 2-5 years of related work experience in software applications
· Demonstrated ability to be the subject matter expert in supporting, maintaining, and administering complex applications.
· Excellent problem solving/analytical skills, knowledge of analytical tools, and complex troubleshooting methods.
· Knowledge of various software applications such as WordPress, CRM systems (e.g. SharpSpring, Salesforce), Canvas Learning Management System, Nice InContact, Microsoft 365, SharePoint applications, and others.
· Experience in installation, configuration, upgrades and providing application administrator support
· Demonstrated ability to be the subject matter expert in supporting, maintaining, and administering complex applications.
· Hands-on experience in process automation, best practice approach, technology efficiency, and effectiveness.
· Understand the workflow and process requirements of business units related to the application.
· Self-motivated, able to work independently, and takes initiative.
· High achiever, who produces results individually, as well as collaboratively as part of a results-focused team
· Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
· Ability to learn new content areas and new skills quickly.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills
· Strong prioritization, organization, and project management skills
· Ability to work flexible hours (including evenings and weekends, as necessary)
· Ability to travel as necessary
