Hallmark University is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Aviation Maintenance Technician Instructor to educate and inspire students pursuing their Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degrees in Airframe and Powerplant Technology. This role is ideal for individuals with hands-on aviation maintenance experience and a desire to shape the next generation of aviation professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging lectures and hands-on demonstrations in aviation maintenance subjects.
- Supervise and mentor students through practical skill-building projects.
- Assess student performance in both theoretical knowledge and practical application.
- Maintain accurate records of grades and attendance; submit final grades to the registrar.
- Collaborate with the Program Chair to continuously improve course content.
- Participate in university commencement ceremonies (Spring and Fall).
- Support university-wide initiatives including the Hallmark Character Program and community outreach events.
Skills & Abilities:
- In-depth knowledge of commercial, military, and/or corporate aircraft maintenance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
What You Bring:
Required:
- FAA Airframe & Powerplant certifications
- Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in Aviation, or a commitment to attain
- Four years’ experience in aviation maintenance
Preferred:
- Master’s degree in Aviation.
- Prior teaching or instructional experience.
