About This Position

POSITION SUMMARY
The Stock Operations Specialist plays a pivotal role in ensuring excellence across all stockroom functions. This position is accountable for inventory accuracy, merchandise flow, and the coordination of transfers, fast orders, and shipping. This role serves as the operational backbone of the store, aligning stockroom performance with sales and customer service goals.

This individual must possess a high degree of organization and accuracy, ensuring that both daily, weekly, and long-term stockroom operational objectives are consistently achieved.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Inventory Control
Execute all stockroom operations while ensuring proper handling and storage of merchandise.
Transfer Management
Execute outbound transfers
Ensure all recommended transfers are completed by close of business every Wednesday.
Incoming Transfers
Assist with unloading truck deliveries plus managing receipt and processing of all inbound transfers.
Verify order accuracy and merchandise condition upon receipt.
Apply price tags to new merchandise and place products on the sales floor for display.
Ensure all incoming transfers are completed by close of business every Friday.
Fast Orders & Shipping
Execute fast order processing and manage outbound shipping to meet customer needs and service standards.
Ensure all fast orders and ship-outs are completed by close of business each day.
Process Excellence
Maintain stockroom organization and compliance with all company standards, driving consistency across all operational activities.
Adhere strictly to OSHA safety protocols; zero incidents resulting from failure to follow proper safety procedures.
Cross-Functional Partnership
Collaborate with Store Manager, Assistant Managers, Customer Service Manager and Warehouse Drivers to ensure stockroom activities directly support sales and customer experience.

Attention to Detail – Strong accuracy in managing transfers, shipments, and documentation.
Problem-Solving & Initiative – Ability to identify challenges, recommend solutions, and implement improvements proactively.
Collaboration & Communication – Effective partnership with Store Manager, Assistant Managers, Customer Service Manager, and all store associates.

QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework preferred.
Minimum 2 years of experience in stockroom/warehouse management, logistics, or inventory control; retail footwear or apparel industry experience strongly preferred.
Experience coordinating transfers and shipping in a fast-paced retail environment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs and remain on feet for extended periods as required.
Ability to walk, bend, crawl, and reach for extended periods of time.
Must be able to safely work on a ladder.
Must work in accordance with OSHA compliance standards at all times.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Must always adhere to Comfort Management Corporation Core Values.
Must follow Comfort Management Corporation workplace policies and procedures.
Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Must be able to work 5 day weeks that can extend to 6 days based on needs of the business
During the period from Thanksgiving thru Christmas Day, vacations will not be authorized.
Must maintain scheduling flexibility as the Store Manager determines what’ll best support business needs.
