About This Position
- Conducts visual inspection of finished product prior to packaging.
- Advises operator and or managers of on-going quality, print label, weight and seal discrepancies.
- Removes non-standard products, such as light weights and irregular products to appropriate rework and waste bins.
- Empties waste bins as needed to ensure clean, safe lifts.
- Prepares containers for packing
- Checks/verifies correct code date on all size packaging
- Assists with packing into all size containers.
- Capable of packing required amount of cases/containers per shift.
- Assists with the training of new packaging employees.
- Follows NRI Rules and Regulations as described in the Employee Handbook.
- Supports changeovers as required between products.
- Completes all data driven applications and or paperwork as required.
- Maintains a clean and safe working environment.
- Communicates in a clear concise manner.
- Maintains a high level of sanitation and GMP’s.
- Completes tasks and projects as required by NRI.
- Works overtime as needed.
- Assists with packaging on other lines as required.
- All other duties as assigned
- Food Safety Responsibilities
- Notifies Production Management of any repairs or adjustments that are required.
- Observes and complies with the handling and usage of the color-coded (allergen and waste) container policies in the production areas.
- Performs all duties necessary to meet NRI, customers and/or government requirements and standards.
- Informs Production Management of ANY Food Safety or Quality issues or of any processes, which become noncompliant with specified requirements.
- Initiates action to prevent the occurrence of nonconformities relating to Food Safety and the Quality of the product, processes, quality system, or safety system.
5am-4pm M-T and Fridays when necessary
