Orchestral String Instrument Repair Assistant (Seasonal 2026) – Immediate Openings Available! at Menchey Music Service – Hanover, Pennsylvania

Our repair shop plays a vital role in serving our community, and we want you to be part of our team! If you have experience with string instruments, we'd love to speak with you! Our string instrument repair assistants work during the spring and summer months to clean and refurbish returned and new instruments to get ready to rent or sell.

This position is for our Operations Center in Hanover, PA. We are hiring seasonal employees with hours available from now through the end of September. Candidates are welcome to apply for the full period or a shorter window!

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Thoroughly clean instrument and case.
• Identify any repairs or adjustments that need to be made to the instrument.
• Improve cosmetic appearance of instrument.
• Examine case, repair/replace as necessary.
• Change strings as needed & tune instrument.
• Replace included accessory items in case.
• Restock in warehouse once prep is completed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Orchestral string instrument playing experience required.
• On the job training provided.
