The Opportunity

We’re seeking qualified applicants for our open Staff Accountant position. Our Accounting Team collaborates across multiple departments and supports the financial accuracy, stability, and success of our credit union. This position is essential to maintaining the integrity of our financial reporting and supporting our continued growth.

What You’ll Do

· Support the month-end closing process and prepare monthly account analyses

· Perform balance sheet account analysis and reconciliations

· Create and post journal entries

· Process accounts payable

· Assist in preparing all departmental deliverables, including but not limited to the monthly financial statements, the NCUA 5300 Call Report, the FHLB Qualified Collateral Report, and the FRBB Borrower-in-Custody Report

· Produce Excel-based financial reports and support general accounting functions

· Assist with miscellaneous projects, reporting needs, and ongoing process improvements

What We’re Looking For

· Knowledge of accounting principles, procedures, and industry best practices

· Prior experience with general ledger functions and month-end/year-end close

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail

· Ability to work independently, manage multiple deadlines, and prioritize effectively

· Professional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with individuals across the credit union and external partners
