Bus Driver (Part-Time) at Science Academies of NY – Frankfort, New York

SANY’s Utica Academy of Science Charter School is seeking a dedicated Full-Time School Bus Driver to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity to play a vital role in the safety and daily lives of our students.

As a School Bus Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting students and authorized passengers to field trips, athletic events, and other school-related activities. The driver will also ensure that the vehicle remains in safe operating condition by conducting required inspections and following all safety protocols.

• Safely operate a school bus in accordance with New York State and federal regulations.
  
• Transport students and authorized personnel to assigned destinations, including field trips, athletic events, and school activities.
  
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bus (including tires, brakes, lights, fluids, and safety equipment).
  
• Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe vehicle environment.
  
• Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and school policies.
  
• Provide courteous and professional service to students, families, and staff.
  
• Immediately report any safety concerns, incidents, or maintenance issues.
  

• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) – Class B or higher
  
• Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements
  
• Minimum 3 years of school bus driving experience
  
• Clean driving record
  
• Fingerprint clearance through the New York State Education Department
  
• Ability to work flexible hours, including days, evenings, and weekends
