Citizens Memorial Healthcare Foundation (CMH) in Bolivar, MO is hiring an Activities Director to care for our residents at Colonial Springs Healthcare Center! CMH is made up of 34 primary and specialty clinics, 6 Long-Term Care facilities and 1 residential care facility. Offering acute care, emergency services, ambulatory care, pharmacies, walk-in clinics, surgeries, addiction recovery, therapies and more, CMH has its community covered!

About the area: Colonial Springs Healthcare Center is located in beautiful Buffalo, Missouri. Buffalo has multiple outdoor experiences such as hiking, camping, fishing, and canoeing. Buffalo is a great community that offers small town charm and friendly reasonably priced neighborhoods with an excellent school system and Dallas County Technical Institute available for students pursuing vocational jobs.

About the facility: Colonial Springs Healthcare Center is a 134-bed long-term care, skilled nursing center. It includes a 34-bed memory care unit, as well as a 16-bed high-functioning memory care unit. These units meet the specific needs of individuals with Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia.

A typical day includes:

• Assuring the residents’ safety during outings and activities
• Actively working with residents to meet established care plan goals
• Working with volunteer coordinator to schedule and utilize auxiliary volunteers effectively
• Working with community resources to provide meaningful activities of interest to the residents of the designated facility

Job Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in recreation or related field
• Experience: NA
• Skills: NA
• Licensure/Certification: Certified Activity Director or Certified Therapeutic Recreational Specialist, Full CPR within 6 months of employment
• Physical: Ability to stand for 60% of the day and sitting with residents for the remaining 40%

The position is Full Time, Days
