Position Summary

The Master Projects Scheduler (Programs) serves as the critical link between strategic organizational goals and tactical project execution. They are responsible for the technical integrity, schedule health, and architectural execution of the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) across complex, multi-million dollar programs. This role owns the lifecycle of resource scheduling data, leads cross-functional teams through complex logic sequencing, and serves as the "single source of truth" for project timelines to provide leadership with data-driven insights for critical pivot decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Direct the execution of complex, multi-level schedules for diverse programs using MS Project, Primavera P6, or similar tools.
  • Establish and maintain schedule baselines, track and document all changes over time, and partner with Program Management to ensure alignment with delivery commitments; analyze and report on schedule variances and trends to proactively identify risks and inform decision-making
  • Act as a technical and planning resource for Program Managers, PMO Leadership, and Engineering Leadership, ensuring they have the data and logic documentation needed to succeed.
  • Define and enforce scheduling best practices, such as the DCMA 14-Point Assessment, to ensure data integrity and serve as a high-level liaison between the PMO and Engineering teams.
  • Take full responsibility for identifying and monitoring the Critical Path and "Near-Critical" paths to proactively alert stakeholders of potential slippage.
  • Coordinate and support schedule recovery efforts, coordinating cross-functional teams to deliver immediate technical resolutions to logic bottlenecks.
  • Exercise full schedule and resource oversight for all work conducted across the program portfolio.
  • Perform resource loading and leveling to identify bottlenecks, over-allocations, and under-utilization, ensuring projects remain on schedule by proactively correcting resource constraints.
  • Partner with program leadership to provide deep technical expertise in scheduling during "What-If" simulations and Schedule Risk Analysis (SRA).
  • Translate complex scheduling concepts, such as Earned Value Management (EVM), Milestone Trend Analysis (MTA), and burn-down charts, into actionable business value for executive review.
  • Meet with stakeholders and facilitate weekly scheduling sessions to ensure proper and adequate communication is consistently in place.
  • Produce accurate and timely reporting of program status, including Schedule Performance Index (SPI) and Gantt chart updates.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5 years of experience in project scheduling for large-scale, complex programs such as Aerospace, construction, IT, or Manufacturing.
  • Expert level proficiency in Microsoft Project (Server/ ONline) Atlassian Jira/ Structure Gantt and/ or Oracle Primavera P6.
  • Strong understanding of Earned Value Management (EVM) and Schedule Performance Index (SPI).
  • Experience supporting cross-functional teams and coordinating inputs from engineering, operations and program management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify risks and recommend practical solutions.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple schedules, priorities and deadlines across concurrent programs while maintaining accuracy and meeting deliverables. 
  • Ability to communicate complex scheduling data in a clear, concise way to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • High attention to detail with a focus on data accuracy and integrity.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time depending on business need.
  • Citizenship: U.S. Citizen or qualified U.S. person in accordance with ALU 22CFR 120.15.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or Scheduling Professional (PMI-SP) highly preferred.

1. Must have the following physical abilities:

  • Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, stretch, reach, and lift.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods at a desk or table as well as machine tools or printers.
