Nephrology demand in rural Missouri is growing, and CMH is ready to build something lasting with the right APP. The physician leading this practice is invested in your growth from day one — you'll have a mentor, a mission, and a clear path forward from the moment you arrive.

The Opportunity

This is a newly created APP role joining a single-physician nephrology practice. The scope includes outpatient clinic visits and inpatient hospital consults, with the role expanding over time as you settle into the practice. The ramp is intentional and supported — expect a smaller panel in the first six months before scaling further.

Office hours run Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with 30-minute appointment blocks. No procedures are required — the work is face-to-face encounters, urine dip reads, and microscopy, with training provided by the supervising physician.

Full support staff including a nurse and front desk staff so you can focus on providing safe patient care. Call coverage is not part of this role in its current structure.

A Day in the Life

Mornings begin in the hospital with inpatient consults, addressing new requests and providing ongoing care for inpatients. The day continues with in-center dialysis patient visits and outpatient clinic face-to-face appointments. New patient appointments occur throughout the day, combining thorough diagnostic assessment with the establishment of strong relationships as patients navigate a new diagnosis. Laboratory results are reviewed throughout the day as they become available, and the schedule concludes with a final round of inpatient follow-ups. It is a busy yet well-structured day supported by a collaborative team environment, ensuring you are never without backup.

Requirements

• PA or NP with active Missouri license or eligibility.
• Nephrology experience preferred; strong internal medicine or primary care background considered.
• Collaborative, curious, and comfortable in a practice that's still being built.
