About This Position

Description: Position Summary

The R&D Engineer is responsible for the design, development, testing, and continuous improvement of hydronic flow control products. This role plays a critical part in bringing new products to market and enhancing existing product lines to meet customer needs, performance standards, and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate is technically strong, hands-on, and motivated to solve real-world engineering challenges.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead new product development projects from concept through launch
  • Design and model components and assemblies using 3D CAD software
  • Develop prototypes and oversee product testing and validation
  • Perform engineering calculations including fluid dynamics, thermal performance, and structural analysis
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Applications Engineering, Operations, and Supply Chain
  • Support cost reduction and value engineering initiatives
  • Prepare and maintain engineering documentation including drawings, specifications, test reports, and design records
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and certifications
  • Support continuous improvement efforts within manufacturing processes
  • Provide technical support as needed for internal teams and customers

Requirements: Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • 3–7 years of engineering experience in product design or manufacturing
  • Experience with CAD software (SolidWorks preferred)
  • Understanding of fluid systems, pressure vessels, or hydronic systems preferred
  • Experience with product testing and validation methods
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in HVAC, plumbing, or hydronic flow control products
  • Familiarity with stainless steel fabrication and manufacturing processes
  • Knowledge of ASME, NSF, UL, or other applicable industry standards
